We Do Not Always Come Through – 'When Ever' We Get The Chance
I am glad I had the chance!
Yesterday while helping a friend in our local hospital, I noted a lone helpless elderly thin women lying sideways on her sick bed against the cold hallway wall of the x-ray department. I could hear her shivered labored gasps of being so cold laying there - that I just stopped and felt I had to cover her up with a warm blanket!
Looks like her medical attendant main concern was just to deliver her to the x-ray department without any concern to make sure this elderly women patient was comfortable.
Next, I strolled over to her and found a nice warm blanket at the end of her bed and tucked it around her and lightly patted her on the back. Her kind blues eyes looked up at me and she weakly smiled and said “I thank you so much”.
We Do Not Always Come Through – 'When Ever' We Get The Chance
The poor, the persecuted, the meek, the helpless, and the hungry need special attention.
Unfortunately, we do not always come through for those in need.
A compassionate person may support and defend victimized and lonely people.
The first will be last, and the last will be first by bringing about a tender heart toward those who suffer in pain and poverty.
We do not always come through because sometime we forget that people are only human and we must oversee are own needs at times to 'take the time' to help someone in need 'when ever' we get the chance.
I am glad I got the chance!!!

In honor of our 4th of July Swaphandmedowns.com is sending out requests to reach out and share gently used fashions among all of our readers! ‘THE GIVING JULY SPIRIT!’ Starting June 15th – July 5th we will be volunteering our time to help our newsletter reader to network and request or donate their used clothing. We all have so much to give that I know by following the guidelines this is going to be allot of fun.
Grab a box of your unwanted clothing and join in the fun. It may take a few minutes of your time but it is time well spent knowing your free used fashions are going to friend in need! Reach out and make a new friend today! Everyone has until July 15th to reply with donations to resend out to our mailing list. SO LET’S ALL GET INTO ‘THE GIVING JULY SPIRIT!’ Ask and don’t forget to share!
All the used clothing is free just pay the shipping fee! To request donation you must agree to pre pay the shipping fee to the family directly that is donating the used items..
Can you take some time today to read the families requests below to see if you or your neighbors have the sizes needed for children and mother’s and dad’s in need of clothing?
If you see the size below that you would need or you are willing to donate please contact the family by emailing them directly.
If you would like to donate clothing and have not yet replied please send Swap a message and she will be happy to announce it to our readers.
Here how easy it works: Email the family and discuss with them what clothing you have to donate or swap around and request the home address to send it. Request in Subject line:
‘‘THE GIVING JULY SPIRIT!’ ’
This way our reader will know your email is about our 4th of July swap clothing exchange and is not spam mail.. You may also send Swap a ‘carbon copy’ of your request so we can follow up with your request if need be.
As soon as your donation has been filled please reply to others that the clothing donation has been sent to another family!

Next weigh the box of clothing on your home scale for estimate of weight of box. You can go to ups.com and look o up the zip code and get the estimated shipping fee. If you do not have time to gather this information please ask you swapping buddy to look it up for you.
Next request the shipping fee paid before shipping out the box by either money order or paypal.com. You and your swapping buddy should be able to help each other with this
transaction.

Normally a 5 pound box of clothing shipped is about .69 cents per pound. Tip Some shipping companies insures boxes for under a hundred dollars for FREE.

I have two little boys, one is wearing his brother's hand-me-downs, but has outgrown some size three clothes, and size 8 1/2 shoes. I have tennis shoes and sandals for some little boy needing them. My other boy needs some size 14/16 school clothes. He is short, so we are looking for 14/16 jean shorts, and some gently used shirts. He needs size 4 double wide shoes. I will be glad to pre-pay the shipping fee to the family shipping them to my home!

Boy 16 size 33 x 32 mens / Large men's shirt
a girl size 5 and a boy 24 months / 2 T and I am a 16 in women's
I have items that I no longer wish to have in my closets and bureaus
My little girl has size 2 and 3T clothing that she no longer fits in and my oldest has items that no longer fit her -- think they are 14 / 16 in girls.
